Hillsdale Drive Extended

What is Proposed?

This project expands the parallel road network on the Route 29 corridor north of Charlottesville by completing a connection between Rio Road and Hydraulic Road east of Route 29.

The road will extend Hillsdale Drive south from its current end at Greenbrier Drive.  The road will continue between the Pepsi-Cola and U.S. Post Office properties, through the Seminole Square Shopping Center and finally connect with Hydraulic Road opposite the Dominion Power property.

Construction on the 0.9-mile-long project began in late June and will be complete no later than Oct. 30, 2017. Development and delivery of the project is being managed by the City of Charlottesville.
