Solutions Advisory Panel

March to May, 2014

In the spring of 2014, communities along the Route 29 Corridor came together to identify appropriate solutions to improve mobility in the Charlottesville region. An advisory panel, representing those communities, assisted in the development of alternatives . 

Four meetings, facilitated by former VDOT commissioner, Philip Shucet,  were held from March to May. VDOT and the Department of Rail and Public Transportation technical staff provided support. All meetings were open to the public. Comments were not taken at the meetings, but were accepted online and reviewed. 

Panel recommendations  were presented to the Commonwealth Transportation Board in May.
